While scientists have discovered a lot about acne over the previous years and more research is done each day, the number of acne myths greatly outweigh the good information available about acne and quality acne treatment options. Nearly all of these myths are fabrications of a little bit data that may be the result of a small sample or skewed statistics. One example is that eating chocolate will make you get zits. This is not the least bit true assuming you are eating only a moderate amount of chocolate. Certain people might have allergies to chocolate which can cause them to develop a rash, but it is their genes, not the chocolate that causes skin irritation. Along the some lines of chocolate causing acne, the second most popular acne myth is that pizza will also give you zits. Claims that the grease cause breakouts is completely false, the only way this grease will give you zits is if you rub it on your face. Pizza is
very unhealthy and being overweight can lead to skin problems, so eating too much pizza without an overall diet and exercise will cause acne.
Despite what any myth tells you, science has proven that well developed and high quality acne products will help protect from zits and pimples from developing.
